constant notification about GPS connection.

Fitbit App 3.17 20243485

Inspire HR, up to date

Android 10 on oneplus 7 pro (up to date)

 

As soon as the App is not in forground I get a notification "GPS connection active" and it gives me 3 options:

Synchronize, Competitions, Account. 

Synchronioze does nothing, other two lead to the repective pages in the app.

When I press the noitification generall area, it opens the app with a apge that tells me to connect my device with the app (which is allready paired a long time and works). When i confirm this the page closes and the notification pops up again.

When i force close the app through the phones app settings, the notification appears again right away, without me opeing the app. The notification disappears as soon as i open the app and reapears right when the app is not in foreground anymore.

It drains my battery. fitbit app consumed a whopping 41% of my total battery today, and i didnt even left the house and did no workout.

How do i get rid of that?

 

tried restart of the tracker and phoen, wiped app cache, still same behavior.

  1. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  2. Uninstall the app from your mobile device.
  3. Make sure that the Android version is up to date.
  4. Reboot your mobile device.
  5. Reinstall the Fitbit app.
  6. Login using your account credentials.
