As of today, the fitbit app is saying my email and password are incorrect and then says the app is unavailable. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this!

Hi @Shelly95. Welcome! It's nice to have a new member around.

Thanks for sharing the error messages displayed on the Fitbit app. To work on this, do you recall if this started to happen after updating the Fitbit app? Have you made sure to have the Fitbit app updated? Because this shouldn't happen I'd recommend to give a try to the following steps:

  1. On your phone's settings tap on Apps > Fitbit > Storage > Clear Cache.
  2. Go back one screen and tap on force stop.
  3. Uninstall and reinstall the Fitbit app.
  4. Reboot your phone.
  5. Open the Fitbit app and try to log in. Make sure to type your email and password carefully to prevent any typo.

Keep me posted!

The app automatically updated on Nov 1st but I've had no issue until yesterday. Other people I know are having the same issues as well.

Today however I can sign into the app but it is continuously refreshing. I also have a banner that says Fitbit Sync Service - Last Synced: Unavailable. I followed all of your steps.

Hi @Shelly95. Great to see you here again.

Thanks for taking the time to try the steps posted above, as well for sharing more details about this  situation.  About the Fitbit Sync Service notification, beginning with Android 8.0, Google changed the way you’re notified about apps running in the background on your phone. This is the reason why you'll receive this notification and it'll appear even if you close the Fitbit app. If you don't want to see it, you can hide it with the following steps. Just note that if you hide it, you’ll receive a different notification from the Android operating system letting you know the Fitbit app is using battery resources.

  1. When you receive the Fitbit Sync Service notification, press and hold on it.
  2. Turn off the notification.
  3. Tap Done.
  4. The Fitbit app continues to run in the background, but you won’t be notified.

In regards to the Fitbit app which is continuously refreshing, does this happen when you log in to your account? Or does it happen after opening the Fitbit app? Since it has been recently updated, I'd recommend to reboot your phone one more time. If the issue persists, reply back with your phone's model so I can further investigate.

Let me know how everything goes.
