In the fitbit app on my Android mobile, the main view content is greyed out unless the mobile is connected to Internet. How could I show recent results without the Internet connection, please?

@FytbytUser64368 that's how it works and you can't do anything about it. I tried to use it offline and what surprises me is how lazy the UX design is (even elements like static icons are not there):

Hello @FytbytUser64368 and welcome to the Community. The data on your Inspire 2 is syncs with your account on Fitbit's servers and isn't stored on your phone. This is why you need an internet connection.

Hi LZeeW,
I see no advantage for me, that the Fitbit app is not able to show recent data locally on my mobile without the Internet connection.
I have glanced over the Fitbit help and this limitation is not mentioned explicitly or it's well masked.
I have a follow up question: does exist a recommendable alternative Android app that has the Internet sync as opt-in or opt-out rather than having the Internet sync and being online as the prerequisite, please?

@FytbytUser64368 Here is a link to Fitbit's Help article: How do Fitbit devices sync their data? You can be your own judge on how explicit or masked it is. There is no option for offline syncing, Android or iPhone. Sorry.

@LZeeW Thank you very much for your help and explanation. Spot on.
@t.parker Nice to see you in the forums again. Thanks for your feedback.
@FytbytUser64368 Welcome to the forums. Thanks for reaching out regarding the "Today" view on the Fitbit app. As explained by @LZeeW this is how the app looks like without an internet connection. It does not mean it is not working properly. Once you get an internet connection, you can see everything under "Today" again. However, since the app does have a caché memory, you can still review some of your data, even if the today tiles are greyed out. Tap on any tile and you will be able to see some of your past data.

@RodrigoMFitbit if there is some limited functionality retained shouldn't the app show something more than blanked greyed icons? Or user needs to memorize where is what? Fitbit isn't only app that offers only limited functionality when offline but haven't seen such badly designed, let's name it, offline mode.
PolarFlow - allows me accessing everything in the Calendar, there is no Diary access.
Suunto - app allows me viewing pretty much everything (I'm actually quite impressed as user may not even notice the app is offline).
GarminConnect - is most limited of all but shows main page with basic data (and yesterday data). Opening anything ends with error message. There is a reason why offline GC has been a disappointment for many for years.
Fitbit - shows quite a lot of data. I can view my recent activities or sleep log. To be honest, it is quite decent offline support yet the main page looks more like a glitch. Why the icons are missing if there is quite a big chunk of the app working offline?

Yes the same here, me having Sam**ng experience, with a quick and snappy offline mode, I consider it as evident Fitbit flaw.
I understand that the bad dependency on a fast Internet connection does not hit the Fitbit marketing headlines and that mentioning it is rather hidden in the online help.
It is great that I'm not only one at the community that finds that storing collected data only remotely is going against Fitbit customer interests.
