Hi, I just got fitbit charge and it counts steps every time I move my hand...

This is a common issue with any wrist-worn tracker (not just fitbits). They work by detecting movement of the tracker and deciding whether that movement was the result of a step or just random arm movement. They sometimes get it wrong.
