new inspire Fitbit will not sync with android phone

There are numerous possible reasons why you may not be able to set up a fitbit with a phone. Perhaps the most common issue is that your phone is not supported by fitbit. You can check yours at www.fitbit.com/devices

 

If your phone is listed then try the following troubleshooting guide from fitbit: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1872

my phone is not on this list, its a samsung 5A, is there something else i need to download in order to use the fitbit?

If your phone is not on the list then it means one of two things.

 

Either it has been tested and shown to not work, in which case I'm afraid there's nothing to be done other than to use a different device or a computer

 

Or it just hasn't been tested yet so may or may not work. So, even if it's not on the list it's worth trying the troubleshooting guide.
