texts on blaze

I have got a Blaze.

when i recieve text messages it comes up with the person who has text me and that i have a new message, but wont let me read the actually message.

when i click on it, it just scrolls down to a 'clear all' option.

i have a samsung galaxy s5.

someone please help

Hi, @ajmeredith! I'm assuming you're using the default messaging app. The most likely culprit is your phone settings. The Blaze can only display what your phone sends it. If you only get the notification in your status bar that x-person has sent you a message, this is what your Blaze will display, too. To fix this, this may work: Go into your messaging app on the phone, click the menu button while in the general messaging area (not in a specific text conversation), and click Settings. Scroll down to Notifications and select it and make sure Preview Message is selected. This should hopefully solve your issue. Note that a shortcoming to the Samsung messaging app is that it will only display the text of the first new message, after that it will just tell you how many messages you have. I think maybe the Google messaging app will continue to show you all the message text, but you would have to look into that yourself.
