When I walk 1 mile on my treadmill my Blaze shows 2,700 steps. On a different day I wear my Versa 2 and my  reading is about 700 steps. Why wouldn't I get the same reading? Do I have set my stride or do I need a GPS app on my Versa?

If you are holding hand rail on treadmill, often steps will not be detected because the wrist is held steady rather than swinging.  Could it be that one day you were holding the rail more than the other day, rather than a difference in trackers?

Thanks for this information Johnny I thought about what you said. Think I will try not holding on to the bar. It still seems odd that my Blaze records my steps as about 2,700, which seems about right, and I always hold the bar then. I do have a balance problem so it's difficult to not hold on.Sent from Samsung tablet.

Maybe can hold on with just one arm.

If put in pocket can probably get better step count but lose heart rate data.
