Inspire won't update, won't sync, won't connect to app.
so it is now rendered completely useless because I can't even delete it to reinstall it; which would be the second time in a month.

Hello @SunsetRunner sorry to hear about your frustrations.
Is your phone on the tested and approved device list?
Removing the device from your Fitbit account will usually simply add more problems since the tracker will not be able to be setup until the sync issues have been resolved. But simply choose add device and replace current Fitbit.
