Can't relink Ionic with Pixel 3 XL

Recently my Ionic was not syncing with my pixel 3 xl since 4/17.  I tried to doing the troubleshooting steps, such as restarting ionic, turning on and off the bluetooth, uninstalling the app, reinstalling and still wasn't able to sync.  I decided to remove the device from the app, and readd it but now I'm not able to reconnect it to the app.  It searches for it initially and finds my ionic, I input the code, then it keeps trying to connect and search for my ionic and times out.  Please help.  Thank you.

A couple of things to try @jper529 

  • Through the phones bluetooth settings remove your tracker
  • Check for a Fitbit update
  • Check for any phone updates
  • Through the phones settings - apps - Fitbit - force stop
  • Phones - settings - apps - Fitbit - storage - clear cache 
  • Restart the tracker
  • Restart the phone

Try again to setup the tracker. 

Just a note,  when the app is unable to communicate with a tracker,  taking Fitbit that toy so not want to use said tracker usually only adds more problems.
