Aria 2 Thinks I'm Guest. Tried resetting, removing, etc.

I've been losing weight and my scale for months has not recognized me. After reading from the community, I've tried resetting the Aria 2. Removing and re-adding to my account. It still insists I'm Guest.

Hi @Alleq7.   Can you clarify two thing, please?  By reset, do you mean you did a factory reset and had to set it up again as a new device?  Are you the only user?  I know this sounds like a Captain Obvious question, but are you listed in the People Using This Scale?

I don't know if either of these things are a guarantee.  One user logged some weights manually.  Then the scale recognized them.  Fitbit says it will assign a weight to a guest if there is an eight pound difference between the weights of known users.  My Aria 2 will make me a guest on my own scale for no apparent reason.  I can get it to recognize me if I weigh myself in socks.  Sometimes I will get the head with a question mark icon, then the option to assign it.

Good luck.

This is a recurring problem without answer from Fitbit or it's community.

I've found a very, very simple solution. What is needed is to significantly alter the weight for Guest. I stepped on the Aria with an additional 7 kg about ten times, each of them giving Guest. Then I stepped on it without the extra weight and it recognized me again.

The problem started as follows. Recently, when my wife used the Aria, her weight was assigned to me and not to her. This occurred 10 times in rapid succession. Then, when I used the Aria, my weight was repeatedly assigned to Guest. Of course, because my account had been taken. I removed all the wrong entries from my weight list and reassigned these entries in the weigh-in list to my wife (this is in 'Aria' 'General' 'Recent Weigh-Ins'). Next I executed the procedure described in the paragraph above this one. The result is that the (memorized) weight of Guest changes drastically. The weight of my wife is now again on her own account and so is mine. All in all this is a very simple solution.
