This isn't new, FitBit has known for at least 11 months now. I'm only creating a new topic as they've locked the others @JuanFitbit was handling things. I've tried deleting the scale and adding it. I've tried stepping on the scale 5 times. It keeps showing it synced but since it thinks I'm a guest I can't do anything. I've even put in my weight so it's accurate to avoid the +/- 8lbs issue. Are we ever going to fix this? It seems that just more and more of us are losing features.

As of today it's working again. It works seem that, as I was outside of the +/- 8lbs area, adjusting my weight on my account and waiting a few days allowed for things to work again. I still can't reassign guest times but at least it's recognizing me again, that's all I really care about tbh.

My scale quit recognizing me last week after the Fitbit upgrade. Like you I have deleted and added back scale and Fitbit app but still won’t recognize me. Did you ever get yours to work?

I haven't, I'm hoping they have a solution but I'm not holding my breath.

I have the same issue, starting today. Tried weighing myself two times, both times it recognized me as "guest" and nothing shows up in my FitBit app.

@crawdaddydoo92 My Aria 2 thinks I'm a guest on my own scale every two weeks or so and it has been doing this for a very long time. When this happens, I:
I read a rumor that Fitbit removed the Guest weights from the app in response to a complaint that Fitbit weights weren't as private as they claimed. This seems to explain why Guest weights go to cyberspace and you can't assign them to the correct user.

That doesn't explain it at all. Allowing us to reassign that weight in no way violates privacy as we are in no way being told who it was that weighed themselves. Unless we saw them we wouldn't know. Worst case is someone cheats and assigns a weight that isn't theirs.

This problem illustrates how everything gets upgraded these days - until recently the weight has been accurate for years! But now it seems that Fitbit is not concerned that my collected data is 100% accurate, it looks like Fitbit AI only wants it to "look" accurate. I'm convinced that the weighing is functional but it keeps telling me that I am someone else and I have no way to correct the error - so "data privacy" means it's "private" to me, after been given to someone else.

Please just add the measurements tab back so we can use the product and configure users vs all Guest, why does Google not want to do right for the consumer.

I am having this problem today after not weighing myself for 6 months. Have re-installed and rebooted the scales to no avail. I'm dismayed to read it's an ongoing, new issue!
I've manually entered my weight today so hopefully from what you say in a few days it will recognise me again.
