There seems to be an issue with the app. I have just had to get in the habit of force stopping the app every morning before getting on the scales. Kinda a hassle but that's the only thing I have to reset. Watch sync works perfectly. Hope Fitbit can get the app straightened out to work better with the scales.

I got excited when I saw your reply here, as updating the firmware was one thing I hadn't attempted yet. I installed the Aria Air Firmware update app linked to here https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fitbit.fwup but when I started the update it told me I was already on the latest rev A16. So, in my case at least the firmware update does not fix the issue.
Out of curiosity @MrGlenn , are you running the Fitbit app on iOS or Android?
