This scale has been a totally waste of money & the customer service solution was unacceptable. It is never moved & they claim I damaged the display. The scale simply stopped working. Their solution: you can buy the upgraded version at full price. Gee. Thanks. I have a 20 year old scale that works perfectly. This one is literally an overpriced piece of crap. This is was my last piece of FitBit technology ever & I plan to share these experiences with everyone.

Agreed. I got my scale in Dec. 2015, and two weeks ago, it seemed dead. I changed the batteries — nothing. After an online search, I surmised that water had gotten somehow gotten into the display, despite the fact that it has never been exposed to water. It seems the seal on the display has a history of becoming unsealed over time, allowing even minute traces of water in. I poured a bunch of uncooked rice on the scale, hoping it might soak up whatever water had gotten in. Long story short, the scale works but the display doesn't. It still sinks to my Fitbit dashboard (so if I want to see how much I weigh, I have to go to the computer, which is terribly inconvenient). Given how much this scale cost, it's ridiculous that the display died in three years. I will never buy another Fitbit product, nor will I encourage anyone else to do so.
