I find this very funny, but it seems no makers of what are called 'Smart Scales' do not provide accuracy specifications in their Product Descriptions, and Fitbit is no different. In the food and medical industries they have their scales recalibrated on a regular basis, mandated by law. In the food industry it is for consumer protection.
And currently the only avenue anyone has is to take their scale with them to their doctor's office during their yearly physicals and weigh yourself immediately before/after the official weighing by your attending nurse. That will give anyone the true accuracy/inaccuracy of the Fitbit Aria.
Nothing is perfect, and everything wears in time. But when it comes to healthcare accuracy becomes essencial. A person should not live their lives based on misinformation. A person given all the facts becomes empowered to make better decisions in regards to their physical health.
With that said what exactly are the +/- values for the Fitbit Aria Scale? What makes the Fitbit Aria better than any other Smart Scales?
Hint: Honesty truly goes a long way.
