Can my partner use the scales as a normal scale without the use of a Fitbit or will it affect my readings , thank you

Hello @Januvia and a warm welcome.  Maybe.  Your partner's weight will appear as GUEST, unless your weights are similar.  If your weights are similar, then your scale might identify the weight as yours.

Your partner can have a Fitbit account without having a tracker.  Then you can invite your partner to be a user on the scale.  Help article  A GUEST weight only lists the weight.  If you have an Aria/Aria 2, your partner can see % body fat and BMI and monitor them, if desired.
