Difference in % BF on Aria 2 vs InBody

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I just recently purchased an Aria 2 to not only weigh us, but to also to give me my BMI and % BF.  Last night when I set the Aria up, I noticed the % BF was off compared to what the scale at my gym reads.  I read online about the lean vs regular setting and I also pulled the batteries and weighed 5 times in a row.  The % BF went from single digits to 12%.  This morning, I weighed at home to get a baseline, then went to the gym to weigh on the InBody.  The Aria had me at 12.7% BF while the InBody had me at 16.9% BF.  The Aria was half a pound heavier than the InBody and the BMI was similar in readings.

Is there anything to make is more accurate?

@rqwilliamsjr, welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm happy to assist you with your Aria 2 since you noticed that it's not providing accurate body fat percentage readings. By the way, thank you for troubleshooting this issue before contacting our forums.

I would like to know if your Aria 2 is placed on a flat surface. Also, make sure that your profile settings (height, weight and gender) are correct.

Keep me posted on the outcome.

Yes the scale is on a flat hard surface. The profile is correct.

I jumped on the scale this morning and the % BF registered at 19%. Yesterday it had me at 12%, my gym had me at 16.9%, and then 19% this morning on the aria.
