Reassigning Aria Weights

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have an Aria, not an Aria 2. I used to be able to see the weights in the website and assign them, or reassign them when they get mis-attributed. But, now I Can't find it anywhere on the site. All the instructions say go to settign and click on the Aria, but that's only showing me the people, not the weights. My wife and I are close in weight and it's constantly getting confused between the two of us.

I'm strugling with a similar issue. 4 members of the family. My youngest one is recognize as as GUEST and there is no way to re-assign the GUEST measurement to him anymore.
The GUEST measurement doesn't appear in the recent measurements in the APP and website doesn't have the MEASURAMENTS TAB anymore.

The guest measurement doesn't show on any of the 4 apps (one for each user)

Very frustrating. looks like you will be able to keep using your scale until the day it's recognize you as a GUEST... after that... you won't be able to track your weitght automaticaly.

Very disapointed with this.

Same issue here.

I'm having an original Aria scale with the same issue.

While searching the internet for a solution I came upon a post in Reddit stating that the Aria is no longer supported - Wifi sync dysabled

So essentially it is reduced to a dumb scale

Best Answer

It still logs my weight in the app, but I used to be able to go into the website and re assign the weights if it got the assignment wrong.

Best Answer

I still can sync my measurements with the app... The wi-fi sync is still working.

My issue is that my kid lost/gain +8lbs (he took almost a year between to weight himself). That said the scale will reconize his measurement as GUEST.

In the past... the MEASUREMENT TAB exist in the website... and we could reasign the GUEST measurement to an ALREADY EXSITING user. And from there, while the user stay within the 8lbs gap between measurements it would be possible to be reconized by the scale.
Now... the GUEST measurements go to a black hole and there is no way to assign GUEST measurements to someone.

Best Answer

Yeah... that TAB doesn't exist in the website anymore... and the app doesn't show the GUEST measurements as the support mentioned.
that said... It's very frustrating...

I'm in a extensive mail trail with Fitbit support. Looks like it's hard for them to understand my issue. Until now I wasn't able to get assertive instructions to re-assign the GUEST weight to an already existing user.

I bet you the new support was hired before Aria and that's why they can't understand you. I'm getting frustrated with fitbit, it's like Google doesn't even care. I am pretty close to dumping the Aria and getting a Withings.

Please post if you find a resolution for this.

I will persue this... something that I more than frustrated is commited... 🙂 I will dig this until I'm able to re-assign my GUEST weight to my son's account.

So.. that's it...

This is the last email that I've got from support. Take your own conclusions.

This is a workaround and not a fix, but when I got recognized as a guest after a 10lb weight gain, I got on the scale with one foot on the floor to take off some of my weight so the scale would recognize me. Then I stood with my full weight and it registered correctly. Again, not ideal, but if your scale is working otherwise and you don't want to replace it yet, this might work for your son.

Same issue with no fix in sight

Same here

Add us to the growing list of folks experiencing t is issue. Sounds like a poorly thought-out code change that seriously broke some key functionality.

According them the measure tab is gone due a privacy concerns. That happen after google aquired Fitbit.
But yeah... they mess up big time with this one... and I was wondering...

With this issue... is there any way for NEW scales to assing NEW users? I can't see a way to assign GUEST to a user anymore.

So far they've been working on this fix since May 2023. Here's the main thread for it:https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Aria-Scales/Aria-2-won-t-register-guest-weight/td-p/5389465

The main workaround seems to be to log into your Fitbit account and manually enter your weighings. Eventually it should start recognising you again, but people have had varying success. It worked for me.

For a long time the moderators here were merging new threads about that topic into the main thread, but seem to have given up.

I put in a support request 5 months ago asking them to resolve this but they have done nothing to fix it. I also remember when using the scale if it wasn’t sure who it was it would flash and you could tap on it to change the user. Not sure when or why that feature was removed.
