Solution for Fitbit Aria V1 Users with Weight Logging Issues!

If you're having trouble with your Fitbit Aria V1, here's a fix. For some reason, Fitbit no longer logs guest weights. So, if you haven't used the scale in a while and your weight has changed by more than 8 pounds (either gained or lost), the scale will recognize you as a guest.

In my case, I hadn't used the scale in years and had gained a few pounds. Here's what I did to fix it:

  1. Wi-Fi Compatibility: First, make sure your Wi-Fi router or access point supports wireless B, as the Aria V1 needs this to connect to the internet.

  2. Weight Adjustment: You'll need something sturdy like a table or a dumbbell to help adjust your weight. You'll also need to be barefoot when using the scale.

    • If you've gained weight, stand next to the table and gently press down on it to reduce your weight until the scale reads no more than 8 pounds heavier than your last logged weight.

    • If your weight has decreased, use the table or dumbbell to add a few pounds until you're within 8 pounds of your last recorded weight.

  3. Repeat Process: You might have to try this a few times, adjusting the weight little by little until the scale recognizes your current weight without any assistance from the table or dumbbells.

Once it does, the scale should log your weight to your profile as usual.

It's kind of hacky, and shouldn't be required but Fitbit decided to no longer record GUEST weight and be able to alter a GUEST and change it to "no that wasn't a guest, that was me."

I hate that this worked to get the scale to recognize me, but thank you very much.  Not sure why you can no longer see guest, but it's awful.
