new aria cannot be added as device

I purchased an Aria Air last week and I cannot get it to connect to my Fitbit app at any time.

I have spent 10's of hours trying every thing I can find in the community with no progress at all.

I cannot add it as a device so I'm not even up to logging weights.

The app says 'found it' then just hangs for a while and returns 'Not working' with some suggestions that don't help and says 'TRY AGAIN' at the bottom which I have done now dozens of times with the same result where I'm back at the start

my app has my watch (Versa) listed but I can't add the scales.

The scales work as a standalone set of scales but not at any time with the app so it is only 50% usefull.
