So, I got 20,030 steps for the first time last night, but my badge still hasn't shown up on my account yet...wondering why?

Hello @nobadges,

Welcome to the community!

I can think of two reasons why you've yet to get your badge:

  • You have yet to sync, make sure that the steps reflect on your dashboard.
  • Some of your steps were done by logging a manual activity.  Any such steps do not count towards badges (or challenges).

I hope this helps.

Thank you for your help, but it's neither of those. I got all my steps by good old fashioned walking that day, and I've gone back and checked my dashboard several times (and synced), and it says 20,030.

Could it have anything to do with having gotten a new Fitbit and switching them out? Although, I got 3,000 of those steps with the new Fitbit...

Did you sync the day you reached 20,030?  I have found in my experience that if you don't sync the day it happens then it won't update as your personal-best on your dashboard, and might not even give a badge.  I inquired about this in early 2015 when I was seeing.  I would say to check your profile page and see what it lists as your personal best....if it does not show the 20,030 then things are out of whack.

I synced the minute I got to 20,000 because I wanted to make sure I got my badge. But on my profile page 15,000 steps is still listed as my personal best...odd

I hope Fitbit helps you here, I would call and discuss with them.  It could be that your sync might not have completed with their servers.  It frustrates me that the "personal bests" are not adjusted based on a sync that you do the following day, and this issue may be a part of your problem here.

Example, My PB is 15,010, then one day I do 16,111, but I I did not do a sync until the morning.......when I went to bed I was at 14,999.  In this example Fitbit told me that the 15,010 will remain your PB becasue the additional sync will not retroactively adjust your PB.  This is odd and seems like it should be an easy fix.

I am having the same issue with my Blaze. I got 20,271 steps--all from walking and running, not adding an activity. I synced my watch on the same day multiple times, and the weird thing is that I did get a badge for 125 flights of stairs, but not for 20,000 steps. Which I went out of my way to get so I would get the badge. 😛

I have this same issue.  You can see yesterday I hit 107 floors . Yet I only see 75 floors in a day.
