I was at a swim park today with a few friends when we all decieded to jump in the river. Long story short I forgot that I had my Fitbit blaze on. After about 2-3 min. I noticed I still had it on and swam to shore so I could lay it on the land. After about 15-20 min of swimming we got out and I put my tracker back on for a half hour hoping the water didn't fry it where it is water resistant. 45 min. later I took off the tracker to assess any damage. It looked fine and pretty dry but I checked the screen and the heart rate monotor was reading 90 bpm while not even on my body. (It was reading about 75 while I had it on and walking around which its normal for me.) At this point I powerd down the device. Im also worried about the altimeter, will it still function even after being submerged? When I got home (aprox. an hour after I got it wet.) I put it in rice and thats where it is now. Has this happend to any one else? and does your Fitbit still work? Also any other tricks to make sure it will work properly again?

Some are Lucky some not so much. Make sure to leave it in rice for a few days. And do not charge it until fully died out as it will ruin it.

Welcome to the Community @Brit324b21 and @WendyB thanks for stopping by and the tip. As recommended, please your Blaze is a bowl of rice and leave it there for 24 hours. After that restart the tracker and see if it reacts, if it doesn't, feel free to contact our support team. For a faster response you can contact them via phone or chat.
Let me know the outcome.

As for the heart rate monitor reading a heart rate. While off the arm, this has been reported by some people already, I don't think a definitely easing has been found yet.
