I have had the Flex and the Charge. Now I have the Blaze. I am so disappointed. I already chatted with support and got it replaced once but it does not register my steps accurately. Not even close.
Is there anything in the works to make this more accurate or should I just give up and go back to my Charge which was dead on accurate? If I am not swinging my arm when I walk it does not register my steps. Example... I walked the entire grocery store and registered 11 steps. My daughter-in-law has a new baby and her Blaze won't register steps when she is holding the baby & walking. With a colicky baby, she is putting on miles that aren't getting counted.
Is the Blaze just this insensitive & inaccurate? Should I sell it and go back to my Charge or is there a fix on the horizon? Anyone else having this issue?

@Freemont12! Wow, that's awful! Mine seems to be about 10% lower than the Flex, but it's generally picking up steps and seems to come up with a similar calorie count to the Flex when all is said and done, but I agree that it's annoying to be seeing less steps. In this case, I'd suggest that maybe your tracker is defective, because that seems particularly low. I'm guessing you've already tried restarting it? The next step would be to get back in touch with Fitbit Support.

Thanks. I did already get a replacement so I figured it was just the way the Blaze is. I suppose I could have gotten two defective ones. It works but if I don't move my arms, it doesn't count steps. Like at the grocery store when I was pushing the cart instead of just walking.

Fitbit wrist based trackers are notoriously bad at tracking when you have your hand stationary on something (grocery cart, stroller, walker, etc). So maybe your tracker isn't defective. How does it do the rest of the time?

Some days overall count mine is lower than the One, while other days it is above the One. Many days up to 30% off, but over the week the average is close, since they switch places on th he leaderboard frequently.
But on my walks the Charge, Surge, Charge HR, and One are easily within 10%.
This is considered to be acceptable, and its during a walk or run that the accuracy can only be tested.
My suggestion is to put the units on different accounts, always wear both or none, friend the two and watch the leaderboard, I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
