Hi, @SunsetRunner, presumably it also counted steps during that time?
Placing your Fitbit near a vibration source -- for example a fan -- can cause false steps/ active minutes to be recorded. Even the vibrations from the cpu of a desk top computer can cause extra steps to be counted.
Could this explain what happened?
When you are not wearing your Fitbit it is best to place it on a stable surface away from any vibration source.
I would also recommend giving your Blaze a restart, as this will shut down any background activites that could be causing your Fitbit to behave inconsistently. Ideally you should restart 3 times, as a single restart occasionally does not work.

Best AnswerThat's weird! It really shouldn't count active minutes without also detecting activity. This sounds like a software glitch to me, but just in case I would give the Fitbit a restart. You also should probably log out of your Fotbit account and then log back in again.
Neither of these procedures will remove the false Active Minutes, but hopefully it will mean it won't happen again (but, as I mentioned above, do make sure your Fitbit is on a stable surface and away from vibration sources when not being worn).
