Another Blaze Battery not Charging out of the box

Well ordered a blaze about a week ago just got it today tryed and tryed to get it to charge cause it just keeps telling me that the battery is still low used every port in my computer also just charged my charge hr with the same ports and no problem ...returning this to the store I bought it from just don't know if I want another one or not very disappointed in the quality of a 250 dollar fitness watch that doesn't work....its gonna take three weeks to get another one by the store I bought it from thats part of the reason why I probably won't get another one .......really thought it was gonna be a good fitness watch but my charge hr worked right away and even charged......maybe the cheaper ones work better..thats my feelings

It could be a bad unit.

 

I love my Blaze and have had no problems with it.

Well your lucky then cause I'm shipping this one back tomorrow what a hunk of junk.........been all day trying to get it to charge no luck at all. guess I'll look for another product other than fitbit ......

I mainly use my Charge HR, but I did buy a Blaze maybe a month ago.  I had initial issues with charging it and I'm trying to remember if I had to do anything special.  I purchased mine through an unofficial third party (which water proofs) and I was originally concerned that this might be the issue.  It wouldn't even show it was charging when I plugged it in - and like you said, always said low battery.

 

Oddly I think I swore a little, left it plugged in for 24-hours and then it was magically charged and I haven't had any issues since.  I know I didn't have this with my Charge HR though.  If nothing else, it's worth a shot before you return it.

If your blaze still has the setup message there will not be any indication of charging, and the app will tell you.
I would try cleaning the contacts with alcohol, and double check that they line up.

Other people here have had luck using a 'wall wart' to charge their devices with initially. Try using the block that came with your iPhone/iPad or other USB charging block.
