App and watch, same running info

I just started using my Fitbit Blaze and I can't figure out how to have the Fitbit app and the watch doing the same run. Last time I ran I had to start the Fitbit app run and then the watch separately. I've been playing with it today and still can seem to figure it out.

You don't have to do anything with the app. Just keep the phone with you. When you start a run you will see the option to connect to your phhone's GPS.

@crspears16 When starting an event through the phone app, the phone app will display the data.. When starting an event through the Blaze, you will be able to see the event starts on the Blaze.. You will also be able to see your live daily stats on the app, but not the events stats.
