When I download the Fitbit app it is in the French language.

i have tried to change it but did not succeed.

Is language set correctly here? Where are you located? While some countries have English as a second option, France does not.

Everything is set correctly. Fitbit.com account is set to Dutch correctly, the Fitbit blaze watch is english and even the country in the app is set to Dutch (automatic English). The app stays in french no matter what. The rating on the AppStore is very low, maybe a bug?
