Auto HR and battery issue

I have had my Blaze since mid-March and the only issue I have had until recently was needing to restart to get a Bluetooth connection to my iPhone. Now two issues have surfaced.

1. I noticed I wasn't getting a HR reading. I looked at the led lights and they weren't flashing in their normal fashion, i.e. Rapidly and at a moderate brightness. The LEDs were flashing about one time per second and very brightly. After a couple of flashes, the LEDs would stop flashing altogether for 5-10 seconds and then would begin their 1 per second flashing. My settings have been on Auto HR since day one and never had an issue until now. I have done numerous restarts and LEDs would behave normally for about two minutes then resume the abnormal operation. Switching to HR On solves the issue.

2. My battery would go from fully charged to completely discharged in 4 hours.

I believe that the two issues are related possibly the bright led flashing causing the battery to drain. I do not know for sure but I will see how HR On affects the Blaze's operation. If they are not related a Four hour battery life will render it useless.

I'm having the same problem. For the past 3 days it has not been accurarately recording heart rate, I only noticed because it hasn't been tracking my sleep.

I'm getting the same LED light flashing pattern too.

I'm keen to hear what the fix is, as I've tried restarting to no avail

Just a quick follow-up.  Charge this evening lasted 3 hours.  My next step is to leave the Blaze on the charger all night.  If that doesn't work, I'll be contacting Customer Service.

I forgot to add that my other settings are set as:

Bluetooth off unless I am syncing or excercising.  All day sync obviously then is off.  Quick view is usually on but lately it has been off due to it being turned off probably accidentally,

I spoke with Fitbit via Twitter who advised to restart. I did that again and it's still not working. They've since advised to get in touch another way to help further, so I've emailed them as well. I'l llet you know if I get anywhere.

My setting are Bluetooth on, All day sync off, quick view on and HR monitoring set to Auto

Restart is their answer to everything. I've restarted the Blaze about 50 times this week.

I bought the Blaze at Best Buy and got the Geek Squad 2 year replacement. (Two out of four FitBit devices my family own have had issues and both were mine lol. After the issues I had with my Charge HR I wanted the protection plan). Today I went to BB and got a replacement. I know I could have gone through FitBit and received a replacement but I didn't want to wait for the new one to be shipped.

Good luck Lisa. FitBit customer service will take care of you.

FYI. Last night the Blaze was fully charged at 12:07 am and was dead at 4:19. After a 4 hour recharge I unplugged it at 8:21 am and it was dead at 11:49am. Obviously this was not a one time bad charge. I also charged via laptop USB and direct via wall charger. This also occurred all at once and before the issue showed up the Blaze lasted 4-5 days on a charge and then poof. Another thread someone theorized that there is a bug in the programming making the Blaze constantly run calculations draining the battery. I seem to agree with this.

Check the LEDs on the underside of the Blaze. They should be flashing very fast. They should look like they are constantly on. If they are off or flashing slow then something is wrong. Try restarting or keeping the setting to on. Mine didn't work on auto when it went bad.
