Anyone else have trouble with the bar scanner? It hardly recognises any products I use? I mainly shop at Aldi.

@SunsetRunner  The majority of the food brands sold at Aldi are Aldi's private label brands.  I don't know where you are located, but I suspect these private label brands just aren't in your area's database.  Some private label brands are in the US database, but that might be based on size.

Aldi is a German based company.  Try switching your food database to Germany and see what happens.  You can change the food database by choosing Account > Advanced Settings > Food Database.

Many thanks! I tried the us database but may try the German one!

@SunsetRunner   I tried the barcode scanner using the German food database on a product I picked up since my initial response.  It scanned just fine.

I don't do a lot of barcode scanning, but I believe that once you scan something, it is in your food record.  I hope that after a while you won't have to switch databases too often.
