Battery draining

Okay, had my watch for 2 weeks and love it.  Then in dawn on me, how do you change the battery.  All rechargeable batteries don't last forever.  So, I started to look around and guess what, you can't purchase the battery anywhere.  Then I called Fitbit and was told that if the watch is still under warranty ( year), then there is no charge, but you'll have to ship it back to Fitbit, they will repair it, and send it back.  Normally that's 7 days without a watch.  So I started to ask myself, why did I purchase this watch if there is no way of changing the battery except sending it back to the company.  Why did I purchase this watch for the $125.00?

Unless someone can give me a clear answer on how to get the battery changed out in 1 day, please don't post anything.  Buyer beware!

Do a search for a Charge 2 teardown,  somebody soon will be tearing one apart. Normally it is such a mess that it is impossible to put back together.

Ypu point about the unreplaceable battery is exactly what amazes me about the apple phones.

My 7 year old fitbit Ultra, 4 year old Fitbit one, and the 2 year old Cha4ye HR all still hold a charge

It's great to see you around @timlab and @Rich_Laue thanks for stopping by.

It's great to hear that you paid $125 for your Blaze since the original price is $199.95 as you can see in the attached image. I recommend taking the offer from the support team and return the tracker for a replacement and enjoy a brand new Blaze without a battery inconvenience.

The offer is great, don't get me wrong.  However, most people can't live without their smartwatches, as my doctor recommended this to me, as he wants to see what my heart is doing.  That would be seven days without it, and what would happen then?

Is there a place where I can order the battery?  I have a friend who repairs cell phones, but can't find the batteries.

I know you have a suggestion place, but I wanted to put in my 2 cents in while it's still on my mind.  If your watch had the following at the price of $150.00 it would be a first class seller.  Don't tell me it can't be done, as I'm programmer.

Have the user set a heart rate low and a heart rate high.  If the watch hits any of these two marks, that the watch would buz or something to get your attention.  This would be a great item.

But for now, just having a replacement battery available for those of us who can't live without.

Thanks

Dan
