I have a fitbit blaze purchased I believe June 2016. The battery needs charging every 2 days @ the most. The warranty is 1 year. I have been assigned a case #.
I do not expect my Blaze to have a shelf life of 2 years. If one purchases a "cadalic" product it is REASONABLY to expect the product to give me years of satisfactory experience with out difficulties. Offering me 25% off a new product means that it will cost me close to $200.00. That would mean it would cost me over $100.0 PER YEAR to have a properly working fitbit. That is UNREASONABLE. It must be a PRODUCT FAULT ie not a long lasting battery. Therefore it is reasonable to expect a replacement for my unworking fitbit Blaze. I understand that my situation is unusual so I could interpret that as this battery is a rare situation. If it a rare situation then great. Fix my rare situation. I have cared for my Blaze properly have had other fitbits & have other family members purchasing Fitbit products or I have given the fitbit products as gifts. How EMBARRASSING it would be to hear that their Fitbit product was not functioning properly & could not receive satisfactory service.
HELP!!!!!

The same happened to me recently the battery has to be charged daily this is rediculous and very poor support. I should not have to buy a device less than two years!

I too have recently noticed an issue with my Fitbit Blaze battery life. For the past couple of days I'm having a battery alert within 12 hours of taking it off the charger.

I bought a fit bit blaze for my husband for Christmas. I have had mine for a couple of years now and I have to charge mine only every four or five days. His won’t even last one day. Yes, it’s embarrassing. I am now getting ready to start my journey with Fitbit Customer service.

Don't think you'll get anywhere with this it seems like completely defective product. Surprised they haven't withdrawn it.

Hi, I’ve had a blaze since Sept 2016. The last week or so I’ve notice the battery charge indicator doing odd things. E.g. Into the charger ar 60%, comes out a few mins later at 80%. All fine so far, then use it for a bit and it now thinks it has 20%. IMHO. These are the characteristics of lithium (or similar) type batteries when they reach their useful lifetime. I’ve had similar in smart phones I’ve run for 2-3 years. After a while they just don’t do what they used to do. In the case of a well know smart phone OEM, they replaced my version 5 phone battery as part of a free of charge recall.
I think Fitbit need to come clean and acknowledge the reality of physics/ chemistry and do 2 things
A) give realistic lifetime estimates for the batteries in their devices [so you make a judgement as to whether this is acceptable before you spend your money],
B) replace batteries on devices where this expectaction wasn’t set before sale / purchase.
I’m monitoring my blaze closely, but it’s edging it’s way towards the bin at the moment. Next time I’ll buy and old school non-smart watch or a smart watch from a rather well known Californian phone, tablet, desktop manufacturer.
Regards
James

I have read with interest the community messages re battery problems with the Blaze. Seems to be a common theme that the battery is not performing to expectations. There does not seem to be any manufacture's assistance for what appears to be a faulty battery. It should last for years & not have a shelf life of a few years or much shorter. Purchasing a product with these challenges should be rectified @ company's expense.
