Blaze Band Falls Off

If I move my wrist just right, or bump my wrist, the band on my Blaze pops out. Tonight I was changing sheets, and it did it again, only this time the entire Blaze and band fell behind my bed.  Frustrating.

Any ideas out there that my fix this problem?

I have ordered a large band to see if that will help.

Thank you

KC

@AngelaMa , if you reas the post you will see that the issue here is not the tracker falling off, but the band falling off.

Hello @Julia_G thanks for pointing this out! Smiley Embarassed In this case please make sure the pins on the wristband are properly placed. You can refer to this thread for directions on how to change the Blaze wristband to make sure the pins on the wristband are as shown on the images.

Let me know how it goes! 🙂

Are you saying that the band disconnects from the frame, the Blaze comes out of the frame, or that the buckle becomes undone?

Best Answer
Comes off at the frame

Hi, @broncofantx , I had that issue when I first got my Blaze. I thought it might be defective. However I found I had not quite got the pins in correctly. Once I did the band did not fall off again. I would recommend double checking that the little springs holding the pins are fully released and the pin is all the way into the hole. Also the sprung ends go in opposite sides on the watch, so on one side it is top and on the other it is bottom (I hope that makes sense.)

I am and I do. I have noticed it is the same side of the band that pops out.

Then it probably is the same side of the band not being inserted correctly. After inserting a band i generally give a wiggle and a pull to make sure it is in properly. I've been doing this wroth watch bands for many years.

Hello @broncofantx, are you inserting your tracker as instructed on this image?

If you are and your tracker is popping out of the frame, I would recommend to contact customer support and let them know the issue you are experiencing with your Blaze.

I ended up changing bands yesterday.  I have not had an issue with the new band as of today. As soon as I put the new band on I could tell the difference in the "snap" of the pins. I was not hearing it with the other band. So maybe the spring pin was defective....Thanks to everyone that helped with the issue!

I am having the same problem with my original band. You don't hear any clicks when it is supposed to engage. My original band was black rubber size large. Will Fitbit replace the band? I've supported your products from the beginning. I'd hope that loyalty would be worth something. Reminds me of the Bitbelt days.

I have only changed the Blaze band two times. After the first change, the band kept popping off even though I carefully reattached it according to the instructions in the Fitbit video. I then changed back to the original band and had no problem for about five weeks. Today, I looked at my wrist and the Blaze was gone. The band must have popped off some where while I was out walking. That's expensive! Going back to my old Charge HR.

Thanks, Angela. The Blaze fell off while I was walking and is gone so I can't really report how it's going!

Did you retrace your steps? I know it's a hassle, but it gives you a chance to find the watch.

I have never had an issue with my band coming off but it must be frustrating. I wonder if support would accomodate the loss of the fitbit due to the pins not snapping on correctly and send you a replacement.
