First off I'm very happy with my Blaze, but the calorie count from Exercise is bugging me.
The HR measurement on the Blaze seems to be quite accurate when I compare it to my HR belt monitor, when the HR is stable for longer durations.
That being said the following exercise 20 Minutes Bicycling in Bike mode and with Endomondo gives me the following stats.
Endomundo | Blaze | |
Average HR | 165 | 163 |
Calories Burned | 333 | 239 |
Should be | 340 | 334 |
Difference | 7 | 95 |
And for 34 Minutes of lifting I get the following stats.
(I know the Blaze is not the best for registering the short HR spikes, so not complaining about that.)
Endomundo | Blaze | |
Average HR | 126 | 106 |
Calories Burned | 384 | 167 |
Should be | 378 | 276 |
Difference | -6 | 109 |
In both cases there is a 100 calorie difference
Here are my stats, same in Fitbit settings and on Endomondo
Age | 31 |
Weight | 80 kg |
And this is the formula I use for calories burned using the average HR
For Male, |
Calorie Burned = ((-55.0969 + (0.6309 × HR) + (0.1988 × W) + (0.2017 × A)) / 4.184) × 60 × T |
Not a major issue, but 4x exercises a day gives me a minus of 400 calories spent.
And I haven't found a way to send Endomondo information to Fitbit without making the calories double.

originally bought the Charge HR a year ago and it was fantastic and accurate until it died. Then bought another one that was completely inaccurate. Decided to go Blaze. First one had a defective pedometer according to tests with chat support. So I am on my second Blaze and it is still completely inaccurate in steps and distance. I compare to my runkeeper app and the built in app on my Samsung Galaxy S6. So it is going back to Best Buy. Complete waste of time.

Interesting, obviously this is not happening to anyone else 🙂
