Andrew,
I have had the Blaze for about a month and the biggest issue I have is the false steps and stairs while driving. I have a hour communte in the morning and in the afternoon and the Blaze adds an average 1500 step in the morning and another 1500 steps in the afternoon for a false 3000 steps a day. It also adds an extra 20-30 fights of steps. I have downloaded Drivebit app and this fixes the issue, but requires me to open and use a secondary app to correct the Blaze issue. Could you please add a drive mode to the Blaze itself. Ideally it could be pressing two of the buttons to start and stop, but it could also be silmilar to the exercise screens; however I would perfer a bottom press sequence so that I would not have to work through the menus. Interesting I do not remember this issue wiht my Flex.
~Mike

I am VERY disappointed with the updates. Downloaded it a few days ago and now am having all kinds of issues I wasn't having before, including:
1) Spotty notifications - Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Never had any issues prior.
2) Inconsistant heart rate monitoring - it was spot on before, never had any issues with it dropping while working out, jumping up and down, seemed very accurate but now, I'll look down at my Blaze in the middle of a workout and the heart rate is reporting way too low or not tracking it at all! I have read all of the articles on how to position your Blaze on your wrist for workouts and throughout the day and follow it very closely. Still no luck.
3) Wrist flip to turn on screen - again, never had an issue with it before, like others have reported on here, it always turned on when I turned my arm. Now, after the update, it's about 50/50 and sometimes, I really have to flick my wrist.
I have restarted my Blaze twice since downloading the new firmware and it takes care of some of these issues for a little bit but they creep back in over a few hours to a day. I read in a different thread to delete the app and reinstall, I will try that but not sure how that is going to help issues with the device itself.
I still have about 3 weeks to return this, if I don't see some improvement and honestly, I probably wouldn't know any difference, if the Blaze had some with the new firmware already on it. But, the old one worked a lot better for me so it was noticable right away.

On my Android app it's asking me to update my tracker software - not a problem, I've had a Fitbit for about a year so done this many times!, Now with my Charge HR I just used to open up the desktop version and it would automatically sync using the dongle and update the tracker but how do I do it with the Blaze? My Blazedidn'y come with a dongle - should it have?
I've got it in the charging unit connected to my laptop but nothing.....
Help please.

I haven't got the dongle any more but I do have Windows 10 so will try downloading that app instead of Fitbit connect. (Didn't realise there was a difference)
Many thanks, Debbie

Hi, my Blaze is version 102.7 too. My phone Fitbit dashboard says to update my tracker but I have tried many times and it just won't do it. Tracker syncs with my dashboard on desk computer and mobile phone (Galaxy S-5) but on Fitbit connect when I try to update the software, it says "plug in the dongle" I do that and then nothing happens. Have contacted customer support and they emailed back that they would be in touch with me. It's been a couple of days now and no contact. Wish you better luck with yours. DonnaWW

This is for all who are having trouble with recent Blaze firmware update. If you've tried and tried like I did without success and with much frustration, it may be time to stop and call customer service. I did, and got help from a nice gentleman named Kevin from Guatemala City who spent probably 20 minutes with me and WE DID IT!!! My update is complete. FITBIT CUSTOMER SERVICE # 1-877-623-4997. Update your firmware and LOVE your Blaze again!

I've been trying to install the update every since I got the notification. It will start updating and after a few minutes, it fails. What do I need to do to get this update.

Nevermind. I placed the tracker in the charger and initiated the update and it is updating without any problems.
