I've had my blaze for nearly 4 weeks, now so time for a first impression / grumble.
I replaced a charge 3 times due the straps falling apart, and would have gone for a different brand if I didn't want to keep my data (for some reason).
First thing I notice is that the reliability of connection and syncing is quite poor. I have a modern smartphone running latest android, and without having all day sync, keep alive, and always connected all on, it won't sync. (What is the difference between those things anyway?)
Also my phone has to have bluetooth discoverable on, meaning anyone can see me and try to connect.
Even then, sms/whatsapp/email notifications are just about ok, about 5 mins after phone, and as they need the phone to connect, they're really only useful when phone is other side of room and I don't want to get up. So makes me more lazy....
The phone call one is useless, it won't start to vibrate and show a notification until about 2 minutes after the call is finished.
The heart rate seems to be wrong, I just came off a 20 minute cycle, where the cycle machines built in HR monitor showed me in the 130-140 zone, and blaze says I did 3 mins cardio... despite the fact it also showed 125+ throughout....
My active minutes tend to be 0 one week, and not the next, even though I have the same routine, and do activity for more than 10 minutes.
Sleep says "congrats you got 7/7 better than your target", even though the daily breakdown shows I only hit the target 2/7...
The whole exercise vs activity thing is rather confusing, what exercise do I select for a stationary bike? If I don't select anything, it doesn't detect, eg a 2 hour hike going at rapid, "can't talk" pace was marked as nothing...
I'll be raising separate tickets for these, to try and get some answers, however my initial assessment is that it's reminding me to be active, but all the data is useless, and the features pretty useless.
At least the strap looks a little better!

Oh, and it registered 2 hours watching a film as "Deep sleep"....
