I've had a Blaze for a few months now and am happy with it overall. I've written support a few times but get kind of a non-answer when I ask, so I figured I'd ask here -- I'm noticing that the Blaze HR monitor is sometimes quite inaccurate. At least according to the FAQ and support chats, the HR display on the watch face itself is more or less realtime (the Dashboard being a 5 minute average or something to that effect.)
Sometimes the watch will seem to be off by 10bpm+, especially when resting. For instance, my resting HR is around 62 bpm. I've seen the watch dip as low as 52, but stay at that rate long enough to give me an opportunity to take my pulse and compare to the watch's reading. This has been happening quite regularly lately. (I've also noticed that running will cause the watch to spike on the high side as well...)
I've tried all the wearing/positioning tips for the watch, cleaned the sensor (gently, of course) but to no avail.
Is the Blaze just not that accurate? Frustrated in asking support since they seem to dance around this and never give a straight or clear answer re: the fluctuations.
