Looking into getting a blaze
Okay, so Iphone+iwatch have the ability to recieve notifications while on the same WiFi and not use battery draining blue tooth. Does the fitbit Blaze have this ability or does it have have to be connected via blue tooth for it to work?
Also can you respond to texts on the blaze or no?

Notifications are via Bluetooth only.
You can't respond to texts via the Blaze.
Sorry.

Hell, I'm not even getting text or email notifications. I have a Windows phone and the Fitbit Blaze. Bluetooth is on, Notifications are on, but no notifications.

I had Windows Phones since their inception, I change to a Google Pixel last month and have no looked back. Its all about the apps. But I am pretty sure notifications do not work with the Windows Phones.
