Blaze Replacement Offer Warning

Just in case you get the same problems I did, my Blaze's bluetooth had a malfunction, and would no longer connect to any device. It was less than a year old, so they honored the warranty. They offered to replace the Blaze straight up, or offer 50% off a new tracker. So I went online to see what was available and noticed the Blaze is retired. After talking to the rep some time, it was confirmed that the most technological tracker is now retired, and that your replacement is from a model that is no longer sold, and only updated "when applicable and necessary." And the 50% can only be used on trackers, which are ALL INFERIOR to the previous Blaze. So it is a rock and a hard place to decide whether to get a model they will give minimum effort to improve, or downgrade the option. I understand the business side of it, however, this just seems like a bad move by FitBit on the part of the replacement options. Just say you would be straight up, instead of saying "or you can downgrade for a discount!"

@ryguy1308  I recently purchased a Blaze after my Charge 2 screen developed a crack.  As my Charge 2 was still under warranty Fitbit offered me a factory certified Charge 2 free of charge or the option of a 50% discount on selected trackers, which excluded the Versa and Ionic.

Of the trackers only the Charge 2 and Blaze had all the features I wanted so I opted to upgrade to a Blaze using the discount.   Before purchasing the Blaze I read several online tech reviews to make sure it was suitable and I was delighted with what I read.

It was only after purchasing the Blaze that I checked out this forum and discovered Fitbit had stopped manufacturing the Blaze.  This initially caused me some concern, but after some consideration I figured the manufacturing status does not alter the awesome features the Blaze has nor the tech built into it and I also imagine Fitbit will continue to provide software support for the Blaze.
