Blaze Sync Problems

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have a lot of problems with the Blaze synchronization with the fitbit app in my Nexus 4 phone.

It usually keeps trying to sync and finally it shows the red erro icon saying that it doesn't sync.

To take an example today i'm trying to sync since 8 oclock on the morning. It has not synced since Yesterday 20:34

At some point in the day it finally sync but this is not a normal function.

It has other implications. When i try to track a ride it doesn't find the mobile and it doesn't use the GPS showing a final result ok 0 KM ,  0 KM/h  , .....

Is someone having the same sync issues? Can any one help ?

It's great to see you around @blaucat. If your tracker is not syncing with your Nexus 4, I recommend following our Syncing Troubleshoot, I am sure these instructions will help you.

As for bike riding, do you have notifacations enabled, location set to on, and the app running, it doesn't need to be up front, but needs to be in memory.

Great to see you around @blaucat. I just have a couple of questions for you? At the moment of biking, are you taking your phone with you? Since, keep in mind that Fitbit Blaze itself doesn't have the GPS feature, you need to take your phone with you. In This Article, you will find information about the Blaze that can help you to track your exercise.

I've re started, re booted and still nothing via desktop, Android tablet or phone. Plus my Blaze battery life is bad. And I have the "UPDATE TRACKER SOFTWARE" and I've tried myriad locations that say Bluebooth is busy.

Sync function seems to be "fragile code" - if I am using my phone with wifi not 4G/LTE data connection - then the app may sync once or twice in a day. It does better when I have "better" wifi - if I go to a spot where I have 15Mb/s download + 7Mb/s upload and low latency with no other users on the network, then it works pretty well. If I go to a place with DSL / marginal - with 1Mb/s download and 0.5Mb/s upload and high latency with several users - then it basically never works. FB needs to do some debug work on their app and server interactions in low-bandwidth high-latency situations to continue to be relevant. If you turn on 4G/LTE and have great coverage it syncs immediately and reliably. This points to software errors and protocol timing errors in the FB code - it's not your phone, it's not your BT, it's squarely in FB's court. They may do nothing, and then we can all buy garmins next time.

I find my fitbit has truly synced long before the app says, I'll get email congratulating me and yet the app says it's still hasn't synced. I go to the web and it says it did sync and shows the updated data.

That's not like what I am seeing. In my case, the app and the website are
always in agreement.

Welcome to the Forums @brewin and @Rich_Laue thanks for stopping by! Woman Happy Have you followed the instructions provided in the previous post to fix your syncing inconvenience? If you haven't, I recommend following the syncing troubleshoot provided by @HelenaFitbit. Also, if you are receiving an error it would be nice if you can provide me some screenshots.
