My blaze will hold A charge 4-5 days only when it has gone so far into the red that the time is wrong and I need to resynch and charge. If it is red or low green and the time is still good, and I charge it for as long as 6-8 hours, it is back in the red with 5 -6 hours and I have to recharge. Unless the time has been lost again, the charge only lasts A few hours. Any idea why this is so? It has been that way from the beginning.

I would like you to confirm that you've restarted it and fully charge it. You can try changing USB ports and then follow these tips to improve your battery life. Once your Blaze syncs to your account, it should have the correct timezone.
