Two things you might try:
1. the Heart Rate Monitor should be set to "auto." To ceck, go to the Dashboard. Click on the cog wheel in the upper right corner of the page. Click on the appropriate device icon and scroll down to the heart rate monitor. If it says "on" instead of "auto" the monitor is going all the time, including when it is not being worn and the battery is being drained very rapidly. Change it to automatic.
2. You might try a restart. Press and hold the left button of the tracker while simultaneously pressing and holding the lower right button on the tracker. Hold both buttons for about 15 seconds or until the fitbit logo appears. If there is something running in the background draining the battery, this may resolve the issue.

Welcome to the Community @Dancas. @John917 and @Rich_Laue thanks for stopping by and for the tips provided. I recommend checking @SilviaFitbit's instructions in This Post regarding the battery inconvenience you have.
Keep the stepping up!
