Blaze counting extra step

I'm have an opposite problem, the first fitbit blaze I got was perfect however I just bought another and it will count steps when I raise my arms up. When I brush my hair. When I touch my head any times like that. Why is that? I don't want to have to take off the blaze while I'm getting dressed or doing other chores. What can I do to help this issue go away?

A warm welcome to the Community @jamiedm2002Fitbit trackers have a finely tuned algorithm for step counting. The algorithm is designed to look for intensity and motion patterns that are most indicative of people walking and running. When you are doing other arm movements, your Blaze can pick up some extra steps if it thinks you're walking.

Many of these situations, such as working or cooking, do include a few steps in between stationary periods so the tracker tries to give you credit for those steps. For the vast majority of customers, the amount of stray steps accumulated is negligible when compared to the entire day.

I hope this helps, catch you later. Woman Happy
