Purchased a Blaze as I wanted to see how many steps I do in a week and try to increase my steps where I can.
I set it up based on my height and weight as instructed, I have tried it on both arms and set to both dominant and non-dominant hands.
If I walk around a certain amount of steps it records then reasonably accurately give or take, could be one or 2 steps out or as much as 10.
However, when wearing it, it records hundreds to thousands of steps while I am driving sometimes recording steps when I am sat doing nothing and I'm sure it has recorded steps whilst I have been asleep.
I drive automatic trucks so no gear change issues in that and also a 3-year-old car so no stiff transmission in that.
It has also recorded me climbing 15 floors this week when the reality is 0. I live in a ground floor flat, the highest I have gone so far this week is up and down into my truck cab which is hardly a floor.
It seems absurd that a device that is meant to be worn constantly and should be able to measure your steps reasonably accurate is not fit for purpose it seems.
As an example I used an app on my phone the other night, it recorded me doing around 2500 steps during the night, I started it and stopped it manually so it could not record any steps I didn't do to get an accurate idea. The same night my Blaze counted over 6500 steps! 4000 steps way too many.
I really think I am going to take it back for a refund as this to me is not acceptable, I bought the Blaze as it's a watch and it can be worn all the time and unlike an app won't kill the battery on my phone.
I have read a lot of posts before even posting this and people seem to say the same a lot about these products counting inaccuracies.
I am lost for suggestions on how this device can be any use and worth the £140 price tag.

Returned it to Argos this morning, didn't even have any more in stock so I could exchange it in case mine was faulty. So had a refund better to have 140 quid back in my account than something that does not work properly.
A bad start to a new ownership product for someone who is new to such devices.
Sad to say I don't think i will be bothering with another one.
