Best AnswerHello @Didge, your trackers logic is designed to look for movements that look as of you are walking or running, thst said if your vehicle has a stiff suspension, the bumpy bouncing ride may give extra steps. This is the same for every tracker on the market.
Please see the FAQ in the help section, link for help is found below.
Best AnswerSorry @WholeJourney the Blaze isn't attached to the foot, it is attached to the arm, which is holding onto the steering wheel. These steps mostly are coming from bumps in the road, that bounced the steering wheel around. The Blaze since it is mounted on the arm is only able to look at arm motions.

Hi, how is the blaze calibrated? I'm getting huge numbers like 25000 steps per day. When I check the times I find some of my biggest numbers are in times when I'm driving my truck which can be very bumpy. When I'm in the truck I'm traveling at 100kmph, so I would have thought the blaze would know how fast I was traveling and not count these bumps as steps. This is a problem! May have to get my money back and see if the iWatch does this job better.
No, the Blaze has no clue how fast you're travelling. All it sees are the bumps that look a lot like steps so it counts them. From what I've read, most trackers will do the same.

Best Answeraw, too bad! I hit the 10,000 step milestone one day while I was driving! 🙂 Thanks for the reply.
Best AnswerMine counts 300 steps for a 20 minute drive and it's not bumpy at all. I am
a driving instructor and it can count 2000 steps per 2 hour lesson takes the mick for the price I paid for it
Best AnswerYa, I noticed when we rode atv's for work - it looked like I was running at 20miles... 😆😅. And driving the truck on gravel roads. It got to the point where the tracker was useless - or have to shut it off for traveling.
Best AnswerCan you shut it off while driving? If so please tell me how to do this. Thank you in advance 😜
Best AnswerUnfortunately steps from a rough riding car ride tends to give steps with every tracker I have researched and also is a problem with the more expensive AW.
As mentioned above Fitbit does provide a way to remove the steps..
There are also apps like Drivebit and travelbit.
You could also let the developers know, by a vote, your desire to have a driving mode.
