I got a blaze for Christmas and I'm wondering if I should return it for a swap. The heart rate monitor readily 70+ even when just sitting watching television. I've tried restarting it but it goes back to about 70. Any thoughts?

Welcome to the Fitbit Family @Danhemingway! The heart rate will be tracked when your heart beats, your capillaries expand and contract based on blood volume changes. PurePulse LED lights on your tracker reflect onto the skin to detect blood volume changes and finely tuned algorithms are applied to measure heart rate automatically and continuously.
You may want to check the estimated target heart rates for different ages.
Hope this helps!
