Blaze inaccurate step count. Horrible Customer Service

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I'll make this short and simple because this company isn't worth much more than that.

  • Gave as a gift during the holidays.
  • Inaccurate step count.
  • I contacted Fitbit- they said no need to return it to the store I purchased it from and that they will replace it for me for free.
  • (Return window to return to the store I purchased it from- closed)
  • Inaccurate step count
  • I contacted Fitbit- They said will replace it for me for free, again. This time, they will have someone test the accuracy prior to sending it out.
  • Fitbit Blaze is still only 62% accurate.
  • I am now on the third Blaze for accuracy.
  • They claim it is out of their policy to replace for accuracy, yet did it to 'help' me.
  • It is ridiculous to accept a complimentary replacement for the fourth time because the model is clearly defective.
  • Mind you- the Fitbit is no longer available for purchase online.
  • ...I wonder why.

Fitbit claims it is out of policy to give me a different model as a replacement YET they broke their policy when they replaced it multiple times because they 'don't replace for accuracy issues'. Fitbit has NO idea what good customer service is. For a multi-million dollar company and a product that probably costs about $10.00 to make they really make it not worth it the purchase.

Hey there, @gianaiaconetti!

Sorry to hear that your tracker isn't working properly! Smiley Sad
First, I would like to point out that Fitbit trackers cannot always track steps accurately 100% of the time, due to the fact it tracks steps from arm and hand movement.

Second, Fitbit cannot replace trackers due to accuracy as unless it has majorly impacted you, it doesn't seem to be their largest concern that a tracker is only inaccurate counting 500-1,000 steps.

Third, the Fitbit Blaze is still available for online purchase and can be purchased here. The main reason Fitbit no longer displays the Blaze on their websites is because of the new Fitbit Versa and its recent success.

If you need anything else, let me know, and I'll try to get back to you as soon as I can.

- Ben
