Cross posted from the running thread.
Does anyone else notice that their Fitbit (I have a Blaze) is off by almost 25.5 miles when running on a treadmill? Today while I ran on a treadmill it said I did 22 sets of stairs despite not setting my incline. At times I also feel like my Blaze isn't registering my steps fully. Anyone else have this issue?
My Blaze was purchased 11/16

Your stride is different on the treadmill than normal walking. That's why there is a difference

It's great to see you around @LMGV2015 and @WendyB thanks for stopping by.
Keep in mind that Fitbit trackers can potentially miss steps you're walking on a treadmill. For more information about this, you can take a look at the Will my tracker count stairs for treadmills and other exercise equipment? article and also adjust your stride length.
I hope this helps, let me know the outcome. ![]()
Best AnswerRight. But on the treadmill, and my milestone pod, I'm still getting a good .25-.5 mile difference.
My blaze is showing LESS mileage than what the treadmill/milestone pod are registering.
Best AnswerIt'll be thinking your stride length is shorter than it really is. As it can't use GPS in doors it'll work out distance by doing steps x stride length.
You can set stride length in advanced options on the app.
Bear in mind this is never going to be 100% accurate though, as your stride length will vary with every step.

Thanks for the information @LMGV2015 and @CliffinKent for stopping by.
As our friend and I mentioned, please measure one more time your stride length. After this, test your Blaze.
Keep me posted. ![]()
