Try a restart. Sometimes doing it a few times helps.

Hello @darnie welcome to the Fitbit Community! I would like to know if you are manually adding any exercise? At this time, only steps from your tracker or MobileTrack count towards a challenge. That means manually logged activities and activities tracked through any third-party apps aren't included in your challenge total. Also f you track a GPS activity using your mobile device and the Fitbit app (called a MobileRun) during a challenge, be sure to bring your tracker along; as long as you have your tracker with you, those steps will count towards your challenge totals. Also please notice that the challenge begins and ends in the challenge owner's timezone, so if you're in a different timezone than the challenge owner, you may notice that your challenge leaderboard stats do not always match your dashboard stats.
If after this you are still experiencing issues please contact our support team for assistance. They will be happy to help.
Let me know how it goes!

I primarily use MobileTrack - my Fitbit tracker is my phone. Bluetooth isn't involved, the Fitbit app gets step count directly from my phone, and then Fitbit app syncs with servers. I've got 100M/100Mbps fiber Internet at home, use a lot of cloud apps (iPhone, apple watch, and Macbook Pro) and other than weird Google Drive syncing issues (Macbook Pro) the Fitbit app is the only app having problems syncing with cloud.
For the last year I've seen issues with app "syncing" to Fitbit servers and then step count drops to 0:

I just keep resyncing by "rubber banding" (pulling down on app dashboard), and if that fails after 2 or 3 times I force quit the app and that almost always fixes the problem.
Weird Fitbit app/server sync problem, not sure what is going on.
