Hi All,
I understand that distance calculation in exercise mode "Walk" or "Run" is based on the stride length I set up for either walk on run. But how the "Treadmill" mode calculate the distance? Which stride length is used for distance calculation? I feel that it is not accurate comparing to my treadmill readings (maybe 20% off).
If I want to combine runninng and walking, say I run for 20 mins, and then walk for another 20 mins, then which mode should I choose? Treadmill only, or 2 seperate mode for run and walk (this is not preferred since I don't want to manipulate my Blaze when I am out of breath)?
Thank you guys.

Hey @Paler. Good to see you in the Community! 🙂
Whenever you're exercising on a treadmill and you use the "Treadmill" exercise, this will not give you distance. This is because you're not realling moving from a point A to a point B geographically. The exercise is fine tuned to take this into consideration and provide accurate data about all other stats. On the other hand, if you're going on a run or a walk, the best choice is to track those as "Run" or "Walk" as it will give you distance because you're actually moving from one to another point. Be sure not to use Run or Walk while on a treadmill because it will give you erroneous distance info.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other question.

Thanks for the reply.
However yesterday I did use "Treadmill" mode when I power walk on my treadmill. It logged 2.75 miles after I finish, while my treadmill reading is 3 miles. It's not too bad though. But it does register distance when using "Treadmill" mode.
I also used "Walk" mode when I power walk on my treadmill, similarly the distance is registered, though not close to my treadmill reading.

Was a solution ever give to Blaze Exercise "Treadmill" and it undercalculating the distance?

You'll need to jump thru hoops, and setup a treadmill stride that will then impact any outdoor runs without Connected GPS, and even with Connected GPS if Bluetooth connection is flaky your treadmill stride will likely impact outdoor run distance calculation too (because when Blaze doesn't get GPS for part of a run or walk, it reverts to using steps x stride for distance).
