Blaze losing steps overnight

My blaze keeps losing steps overnight and so does my husband's blaze. We are competing with a friends and each day we sync and it shows our steps then the next day between 5000 to 9000 steps off my total have vanished. My husband lost his whole days worth of steps from yesterday on his total which was about 16,000 steps. We have both reset our blaze device twice to try fix this issue but it doesn't seem to work. It's really frustrating! Anyone else having these problems?

It sounds like you're looking at the 7 day total on the web rather than anything on the Blaze so resets etc won't have any effect.

The total tells you the number of steps for the previous 6 days plus today so far so, every midnight, a days worth of steps disappears to make way for the new day's count. This is the way it's supposed to work so it sounds like all is as it should be to me.

It is the 7 day steps that it is losing it from I should have clarified that, I am aware how the dashboard screen works, thank you.

Yesterday I had 83,000 steps for the week so far. This morning when I checked I had 74,000 for the week and my husband's amount had dropped by 16,000 on his weekly total as well.
