I just bought a Blaze while traveling. It worked after some a few hours of troubleshooting on my Windows 10 laptop. Now I'm home and am trying to sync it to my main Windows 7 desktop but FitBit connect says the Dongle isn't connected. I don't have the wireless dongle (it didn't come with one) so I use the USB wired one on Win 10 and it worked. Win 7, the same cable isn't registering, but it is charging so I know it works.
Is there something special to get a Fitbit to work on Win 7?

Hello @vengir im not sure what your refferring to when you mention the wired one. Is it the charging cord your refferring to? This wite doesnt have the ability to sync. The won10 machine apparently had built in Bluetooth that worked fine.
As for won 7, Fitnit, along with Microsoft, has stopped supporting this OS. Sorry, but please be careful Win 7 is extremely vulnerable.

Yes its the wired USB cable.
So I must have Bluetooth to sync? I did not know that was a requirement. I thought it was wireless required.

@Rich_Laue The Blaze DOES sync using the USB charging cable when using the Windows 10 application.
Never tried on Windows 7 though - no app, no Windows 7 PC anymore either.

@jmattwood that is correct, both the Blaze and Surge have the ability to sync to the Win 10 app and a newer MAc through the charging cable.
Win 7 requires the Fitbit connect software wich only symcs through Bluetooth.
From what i tead not only is Win 7 not supported by Microsoft anymore, nut it also doesnt work with Fitbit.
